About the Artist
Ben Wu, an artist and author, lives and works in a small southern
town.Though his art hovers between the morbid and macabre and drug-induced
weirdness, he might well be caught drawing samurai in the traditional
Japanese style or painting fans with Chinese designs.
His fascination with Halloween, his sinophile nature and rich imagination
are the building blocks of his first release, The Macabre Alphabet. His
second book, An Ivory Chopstick, a twisted tale of lust and depravity in
Shanghai, will be released by the last of October 2004.
Aside from his illustrating, he does commissioned art work and makes
exquisite hand-drawn cards for friends and fans. Some of his major works are
