The Baladi Series is an on-going mixed media series based on the beauty and spirit of Middle Eastern Dance. Baladi (also spelled beledi and balady) is a term used to describe an Egyptian-style dance. In Arabic, baladi means my country or my home.

These pieces are roughly 5"x7" each, and are made with sepia washes, watercolor, colored pencil, gilding, and other materials, creating a multi-layer effect.
