Divination by Dreams
Mistress McCutchan
Never was there
such a time where beauty and nature were so admired and respected than during that of the Victorian Era. Evidence of this can be seen in the fashion and the homes of these people. While techonology was growing in leaps and bounds, people still looked back upon superstitions and wives tales. There was a variety of divination used such as tea leaf reading, charms, astrology, flower readings, hazelnuts, ouija boards, palmistry, table tipping, and through omens, signs and dreams.
Many of these symbols are directly taken from the Victorian language; flowers, fans, gloves, things that were commonplace in the everyday life of this time.
