Dark and mystical Middle Eastern-tinged tunes create quite a magical atmosphere in my ears while listening to this cd in my headphones. You may have heard Rajna on Iris Compilations released by Prikosnovenie, but now the entire album is available on Projekt.

After hearing “Lifeline” on DJ Todd’s fantastic internet station, Real Synthetic Audio, I decided this would be something fun to pick up. Fans of Depeche Mode and Apoptygma Berzerk will certainly appreciate this band. The whole album from this Australian 80’s synth pop band is great – just get out your dancing shoes!

Old schoolers and fans of death rock will not be disappointed with this left coast goth punk. Reminiscent of Virgin Prunes and early Christian Death.

A re-issue of Rhea’s debut album, Initiation, now comes with the Mudra mixes. Very dancy and club-friendly, yet an exotic blend of Indian percussion and a rocking guitar. Sue has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve heard coming out of Canada (along with other ethereal Canadian chanteuses Loreena McKennitt and Sarah MacLachlan.)
