Everything we know and love from one of the forerunners of this genre: swirly, girly and dancey ethereal. If you don’t own any Delirium cds, I think this is a great album to get a feel of their overall discography. Two new tracks, Paris and You and I, as well as a special remix of Silence have been added.

I quite enjoyed their 5 song e.p., but the first full-length album from this outfit is disappointing. While the music fits beautifully into the genre of ethereal, a la Claire Voyant and early Love Spirals Downwards, Kelly Godshall’s vocals fall flat and off-key frequently. Not even the Bowie cover, I’m Afraid of Americans, redeems this album.

The debut release from Cold Fusion Music is a good variety of both industrial and classic gothic. Moonlight Cathedral is distributed by Christian electronic underground supporters, Flaming Fish Music. Christian underground or not (because I know the God thing can instantly close ears), this is not a bunch of Bible-thumping, but a solid album for your collection, especially if you’re feeling nostalgic about good old-fashioned gothic rock.

You really have to like Bjork’s unique voice to appreciate this album. This album, albeit instrumentally sparse is richly layered in vocals, both processed and natural. Even as a fan, this takes a couple listenings to grow on you, although Where is the Line and Oceania instantly stood out as favorites for me.

The next in the series of compilations from this Chicago-based label. I loved this on the first listen – Resurrection 2 is a really tight industrial dance compilation (read that track listing again!).
